Emily Moorhead lives and works in Ohio.  In 2010, she received her MFA in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts from Washington University in St. Louis.  Moorhead has already been included in various exhibitions including Time-Sensitive at The Ohio State University Urban Arts Space Gallery in Columbus, Ohio and in the Art:Film/Film:Art exhibition at the Diane Kidd Gallery of Tiffin University.  This summer she was awarded an artist residency at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia.  She has been honored with the Sam Fox School Travel Grant, the CETULA teaching grant, and numerous equipment grants.  Additionally, Moorhead’s work has been featured in many exhibition catalogs from Miami University and Washington University as well as in the Art Libraries Society of North America magazine for an installation in the Wertz Art and Architecture Library of Oxford, Ohio. Most recently, Moorhead taught courses at Miami University of Ohio and the Middletown Art Center focusing on sculptural techniques.  Moorhead’s work will be presented in upcoming solo shows at Miami University’s Middletown Campus Galleria, Fabricate in Northside, Cincinnati, The University of Cincinnati’s Clermont Campus Gallery, and The University City Public Library in St. Louis, Missouri.
