Artist Statement

Photographs are tangible memories, solidifying a moment in time. Many families keep a catalogue of photographs to document their life story. When one catalogue is compared to another we realize how similar our stories are. We are not unique, the evidence of that is presented in this series. These images represent the documentation of two separate lives. Snapshots taken a lifetime apart defy time as they represent parallel experiences in a single image.
